Hola Amigos!!
I recently purchased the Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in Coral Crave. I really wanted a summer lip-balm that had a tiny hint of colour in it, and I thought what better than a coral shade as coral definitely screams SUMMER!
My first impressions were that I loved the packaging. I think it is really cute and fresh! The smell of the new baby lips will be quite subjective as not everyone will like the smell of minty menthol! I however love the smell and think that it is a nice alternative to their normal baby lips and their scents!
Then we get to the actual lip balm and the colour of it on your lips. I love the feel as it makes my lips feel softer and more 'baby like'! As it is medicated it is bound to have an affect and I really like the effect it has! It softens your lips! However, the colour really disappointed me! I think it is a great colour in the tube, but when I apply it to my lips it shows hardly any colour at all! I really wanted a pretty wash of colour but it didn't give me the colour I wanted! On the other hand, the slight colour it does give you is really nice and I really like the lip balm anyway!
If you are after a colourful lip balm then I advise you to get a lip stick or crayon! The Baby lips are great and i really like their new range of Dr. Rescue as it does heal dried lips! But if you are after a splash of colour I don't think that 'Coral Crave' will really do that for you!
Overall, I highly recommend these products! Remember that I have only tried Coral Crave and do not know if the others are bright colours, but if that is what you are after why not buy a lip crayon and the clear ' Too Cool' Baby lips as an undercoat for it so you still get the moisturizing affect?
