Nars Sheer Glow review!!

Hola Amigos!!

It is finally half term which means that I have more time to write on my blog!! If you want to know more about the Nars Sheer Glow and whether it is a good investment then keep reading!!

Early in January I went to London and popped into Selfridges, as you do, and went over to the makeup section. I had originally planned to buy the YSL Touche eclat foundation as I had been testing it and fell in love with it. But the day before I was searching through ASOS and saw the Nars Sheer Glow foundation and so I thought I would check out the reviews - it seemed it be a seriously popular foundation and when I checked the price I am sure I saw £22. Boy was I wrong.

So I got colour checked at Nars with the Sheer Glow foundation and I did like what I saw, and because it was £9 cheaper (or so I thought) than the YSL foundation I thought I would buy it. I went up to the checkout and I had noticed that there was a little box next to my foundation and thought that it may be Nars being generous and  they'd given me a free gift...Again I was so wrong. It turned out that the foundation came to £34 - £3 more than I had aimed to spend in the first place...Oh and the little box was not a free gift - it was the pump (it cost me £3 and I didn't even know I was buying it, which I was pretty annoyed about!)
Nars Sheer Glow - My Image

ANYWAY... I used the foundation for a week and in that 1st week I was not impressed and was slightly annoyed I hadn't bought the YSL foundation as I found that the Nars foundation kept sticking to my drier patches of skin making them pretty obvious. I found this quite odd as it is for dry to normal skin types and if you do have dry skin and not enough money to play around with these expensive foundations (like myself haha), I would advise you to stay away from this one or test it first as it really does accentuate the dry patches, but if you want to try it then do what feels right for you!!

After the 1st week of using this foundation I really did start to like it even if it was annoying on drier areas - I have combination skin of dry yet oily. I now find this foundation to be great! I really do like it and I use it every day (nearly), I can't say I have noticed my skin being any more radiant like it claims but I haven't been using it for too long! I am the shade Punjab Medium 1. I noticed that these are quite yellow toned foundations and I thought Punjab was going to be too dark for me, so I would advise getting colour checked before buying as it is soo helpful!!

This foundation provides a sheer (obviously) and light coverage but it is really build-able which is great is someday's you just want something light and other more problematic days if you break out then you can opt for more coverage! I have found this quite handy! It does give a nice dewy finish and although I have more oily skin I haven't found this to be a problem! The fact that it doesn't come with a pump is slightly annoying but you don't need one - if you do then its £3 to buy!

Although I was skeptical about this at first I really like it now and would recommend it but if you have drier skin I would recommend that you try it out before purchasing because in my experience with this foundation I have found it does stick to dry patches! But you may seriously like it!!

Have you tried this and what do you think?? Sorry about the long review haha, I just wanted to get everything in!! Hope you have a good half term!
